Haven’t wrote in a while but that’s because I was doing some insane game
work, it now runs perfectly and can be played from start to finish also
depending on how you play you get a different score, worked out how to create
text so the game now has a title and a help screen explaining how to play.

Post changes what i decided on
Changed the button into a bird and the barrier into new mobs. Touching
the bird will cause it to fly forwards removing the new mobs.

Changes
Set up a barrier for the button to actually activate instead of just
being on a timer for when it went down thinking of changing the button and
barrier to something else though.

A very bad idea indeed
Removed the projectiles from the bosses so now
they only sit there looking menacing.
Boss plan and score boards
The idea to give the boss’ projectiles was a bad
idea it not only killed itself but also the button meaning the game could not
progress I’ve tried making the projectiles not deadly to mobs but every time I
try I make it worse for instance spawning in extra mobs which could be farmed
for points but some that move so fast the player dies even if they shoot the
second it spawns.

It's alive, their alive
The enemies on level 2 now move and the boss
monsters have been made resistant to certain attacks, I’m thinking of giving
them projectiles but they spawn in quite a narrow space so it might be a bad
idea.

Maps and mazes
I’ve made the maps more maze like to fit in with
the course then made the ends of the
levels the power ups so that I can keep the game more puzzle like and quirky.

Skill but not speed here
Set up a way of getting different scores and a way
of completing the levels, there are about three was to get different scores
from just killing everything and running which I’ve put in an example could be
killing certain enemies in certain ways.

Leaderboards and scores
Set it up so that when you die you lose about 500
points and I’ve given it no cap so the score can keep going down or up if the
player is good enough.

forgot a title
Fixed the bug and set up the leader board issue
right now is the game not restarting after it’s completed so getting a high
score is just play the game over and over until you get bored.

Made a bug by accident it's a big one.
So I was testing movement and the sprites for projectiles and it turns out i've done something so wrong that the main character multiplies every time you press the Q or R key then move this is game breaking and I need to fix this fast because if one dies they all die causing the game to end early as if the projectiles were what was keeping the player alive.

One sprite to rule them all
So I've decided on having only one character after it took a week to find working sprites and set the backgrounds to transparent, other things that I've added include a score system a 1 hit 1 kill system meaning no health and three working enemies, something that I've decided on is having a difficulty curve such as level 1 nothing moves level 2 almost everything moves.

Been testing the game the first issue I've encountered is the issue of changing sprites whether it be the projectiles coming from the right angle, the spites moving too fast or the character sprites not works as i intended my blog post should just become whats going wrong at this rate and soon i'll be posting pictures of bugs and other issues. Text on screen is also being a pain but i can deal with that. later
